Mark Weber has spent his professional career working with individuals and families to craft financial, estate and legacy plans designed to achieve a wide variety of objectives. Before founding the consulting firm of Legacy Planning Advisor, LLC, Mark was the leader of the wealth transfer department of one of the largest privately owned insurance consulting firms in the U.S. He also leads the Omaha Chartered Advisor In Philanthropy® Study Group—a group he founded in 2012 with the support of the Omaha Community Foundation. He is currently working with The American College of Financial Services to create legacy planning tools and micro-courses designed to reach beyond high-net-worth individuals and families.

In just nine years, Mark has guided over 100 professionals in the Omaha area (attorneys, accountants, financial planners, wealth managers and planned giving officers) through the graduate level coursework necessary to attain the CAP® designation.

In 2017, these advisors reported that, since completing the CAP® program, they have worked with their clients to commit a staggering $1.4 billion to charitable causes. With Mark’s leadership, the graduates of the Omaha CAP® Study Group Program are helping their clients leave legacies that will impact their communities for years to come.

Mark holds bachelor and law degrees from Creighton University and a master’s of science in financial services degree from The American College of Financial Services.

In creating their own legacy, Mark and his wife, Tricia, have implemented all of the strategies recommended in The Legacy Spectrum. They are constantly tweaking, tinkering and testing to find the ones that work best for their growing family.
